Maior Giurescu

The Maior Giurescu lotissement was built on land sold by the City Hall on the basis of the 1910 Convention and was located on Splaiul Independenței, near the Verzișori lotissement.

Approval chronology and lotissement history

In April 1939, the Municipal Company sent to the City Hall the request for the authorization of the lotissement, on the land of the Apele Minerale street, at the corner with Nouă street, which runs into Splaiul Unirii. The town hall said that “on both streets there is water, sewerage, electricity, sidewalks and cobblestone”. In the lotissement, the Company built only four coupled houses, and the housing plans, signed by Dan Ionescu, were similar to those in Panduri and Echinocțiului.
